Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School was founded in 1952, and was originally administered by the Franciscan Sisters of
Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Today, it is staffed by quality personnel and exists to meet the spiritual and intellectual
needs of the individual child in a comprehensive curriculum that fosters self-discipline, motivation, and responsibility.

MISSION
Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, an educational ministry of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, provides to a
diverse PreK-3 to sixth grade student population, the academic and moral foundations for an exceptional, life-long
education in a safe, caring, Christian environment.

PHILOSOPHY

Our Lady of Fatima School, an integral part of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, considers it our responsibility to provide a
comprehensive education for the whole child as partners with the parents, who are the primary educators of their
children. This education encompasses the spiritual, religious, the intellectual, the social and the physical aspects of
the person which will enable him/her to grow in Christ's life and to learn to become responsible to God, to
himself/herself and to others.

This northeast Louisiana Catholic school will strive to develop the arts and sciences of the various disciplines
sequentially adapted to the needs of the child. The various academic, creative, athletic and liturgical activities
throughout the year will be designed to enhance the self-worth of each child.

The goal of this school is that the knowledge, skills, habits, and attitudes acquired will enable the child to become an
intelligent, self-disciplined good citizen and a participating member in society. Our desire is to help each student
develop into a fully integrated Christian recognizing his/her "individual and collective obligations to overcome the
grave injustices in the world" who will accept his/her obligations of service to the Christian community and fulfill
these obligations to the best of his/her ability for the honor and glory of God.
